Navigating Tight Quarters

What are some common ecological challenges (actual and perceived) peri-urban farmers come across? Conference Session 4 will be all about navigating tight quarters and discovering known crop and other raw agriculture products suitable for, and those with potential for, returning high per-acre gross revenue. We will discuss successful and unsuccessful innovations taken by others and long-term labor, economic, and infrastructure considerations. Guest speakers and discussions will provide attendees with insights to strategies others have taken to improve production efficiency in close proximity to residential communities and highlight where farmers go for help in farm-planning challenges. We will take time to discuss way to incorporate value-added innovations and other non-crop/production farm assets to support production and/or add resilience.
